Join the Mad Graffiti Campaign for Human Rights in Iran!
فارسی

An estimated 500 political prisoners remain behind bars in Iran for their dissent against the policies of the Iranian government. Hundreds more have been persecuted through politically motivated trials. They include human rights defenders, lawyers, journalists, opposition activists, community leaders, and ordinary Iranian citizens. In an effort to highlight these and other human rights violations in Iran, United4Iran is joining a solidarity campaign using graffiti art as a form of protest and awareness. The campaign Mad Graffiti Week Iran will be launched in April 2012. We invite you, your family and friends, and community to participate and show your solidarity!
Campaign: Mad Graffiti Week Iran is asking people to “stencil” in honor of Iran’s prisoners of conscience from April 1-7. The effort is inspired and supported by Egyptian “Mad Graffiti Week,” which in protest of the current military regime quickly drew thousands of followers online. It remains a powerful way to show solidarity for democracy and human rights in Egypt. Mad Graffiti Week Iran has been created in the same spirit, in solidarity with Iranians struggling to attain their fundamental human rights.
